I've not been to bed since yesterday morning. That said, I did pick this up today...

Good eh... Ashleythekid, 7lbs 2¾oz at 7:10 AM. All at home now and doing great.

Now the weird sht...

• Midwife was from Kilwinning and I went to school with her brother.


• 27th July... thats 3×27ths in a row May/June/July for kids in our
  immediate family.


• Got to hospital to find I had EXACTLY the right amount of change in my pocket
  for the parking machines.

There was more but I can't think of it just now.. lol.

Drinks anyone??

Singing Kettle I found some singing kettle tickets here earlier that we got yonks ago for the kids. But they are for this weekend(Sunday) and our kids are away already to their Granny's! lol

Aberdeen Outing Not in a gay way I hasten to add....

Innes was on MSN on Saturday at like 5PM and said, "I'm bored fancy a pint?".
I said "yes sure".
He said "cool see you in 3 hours".(The time taken to travel from Ayrshire(where Innes is) to Aberdeen(where I am)

3 hours later...

4 Mile Inn. Drink 1. Tennents.
Cloverleaf. Drink 2. Budweiser.
4 Mile Inn. Drinks 3 - 6? Budweiser/Magners

Incidentally there was a band on. They were decent enough.... with alcohol...

Now we decided to head into town.... stupidly...

Chicago. Drinks 6? - ??. That place is superb, especially the Nikki-esque dancers upstairs along with their Papa Lazarou/David Bowie frontman.
I got soooooooooo wasted though, next time I'm driving!

How far away is Montrose?? It's right here in Aberdeen! I spent some of the afternoon watching a JCB and a bulldozer on the beach while a ship pumped sand taken from Montrose onto the beach.

I stopped an old dear, who is heading to Loch Lomond next week with her sons from Ireland.....I digress... she said as a wee lassie the beach was beautiful for 4 weeks every year it'd be filled with folk from Glasgow and Dundee. Standing room only stuff. Catty said to her that it's still beautiful with all the sand...

"It's no like it used to be" apparently. "Nowadays ye cannae sit on the sand without the waves comin all the way up...we've lost the beach back intae the sea. I like yer hat by the way...."

Hence Montrose sending up their sand.....

Now, anyone who has ever been to montrose can see quite plainly that

1. They are in no position to be removing their sand with that massive basin...
2. Their sand doesn't work!

So that's Aberdeens idea, dissimulated beach. LOL

Does anyone ever take the seaside holiday nowadays? I know familythekid like a 'dawnur doon the shore' now and again when the weather's nice.

Blogmeet I can't make it tonight people, many apologies. I don't know where it is for starters coupled with my back pain which is gowpn... threw it again today doing the grass. Some 'healing' time is req'd methinks.

Anyhow I'm a little pi§§ed at missing it especially with this weather.....

Pain and Suffering I hurt my back tonight. This is a recurring thing. Last time it happened I was clearing up after fitting my gran's shower unit thing, as I bent down to wash the mits POP billy hits the floor. Pain shoots right across the middle of my lower back.

Tonight I was putting some clothes in the washing machine when POP billy falls into the washing basket... The wee man comes into the kitchen and is like,
'Dad, what are you doing?'
'I've hurt my back'
'Oh, OK.'

Then he just left me there, floundering in the washing basket! wtf!!

I eventually got him back in to finish off putting the rest of the load in the washing machine and set it and stuff.

Sitting here now the pain hasn't subsided yet, almost an hour later, and it's actually the worst it's ever been. It's gone right round to my gut too. I wonder if there's some sort of internal jiggery pokery going on. Man this sucks.

Maybe it's karma for the George Bush post. I'm all up straight like a poker, if i bend even slightly it's like being stabbed in the heart!

If I don't make it back to the blog, have great lives......

The place is not near the top of my 'Places in Aberdeen that I know exist' but I will do my best (ok we know how far 'my best' gets me but I'm sure this time will be different)....
